"Hello! My name is Jeff. I am a Minnetonka High School and University of Minnesota graduate with a valid Minnesota teaching license in secondary (grades 5-12) English and an M.Ed (Master of Education). I also have extensive experience in ESL, Spanish, ACT, SAT, TOEFL, reading, writing, vocabulary, technology, and guitar and music. My approach to teaching and tutoring, regardless of the subject, is that teachers must truly understand what motivates their students. Furthermore, teachers must know how their students naturally learn the most. This combined knowledge of both motivation and learning style is one attribute that has always helped my students achieve excellent results.

I have taught in a wide variety of educational settings, including (but not limited to) private guitar lessons for elementary and adult students, teaching classes of adult ESL students, tutoring foreign college students in TOEFL, tutoring in writing and reading, and teaching English to elementary students in Korea. My experience in working with people of many ages, goals, and backgrounds has given me the ability to understand quickly and clearly students' motivations and learning styles.
