"I have a second masters in education, curriculum and instruction, TESOL from UMKC in Kansas City. My first masters was from North Carolina State University in international development (political science) and a multidisciplinary approach cross in anthropology and forestry. My undergraduate degree was in theology/ liberal arts degree from a private school in Texas.. I have taught all aspects of ESL for 15 years both privately and through local colleges. I currently teach ESOL (reading, writing, listening, grammar etc) at area colleges in the greater Kansas City area and I teach privately both children and adults. This includes conversation for adults and children and a complete academy based curriculum for children. I have taught test prep, reading, writing, grammar, civics, and culture. I also teach anthropology, civics, theology, geology, and other academic subjects privately.
Additionally I am a fully qualified editor and proofreader working with graduate students from UNC and Duke University. I am currently working on private writing projects in the genre of fantasy and science fiction. I am also a grant winning independent scholar of indigenous cultures and their customs and religious systems.
I have a great deal of experience with Asians from South Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, China, and Japan.
I have studied more than three languages and aspire to visit ever continent. I am available at various times with advanced scheduling.
I also tutor several other subjects including public speaking and others that I have had several years of hands on experience in as well as academic coursework in.
The concept of tutoring is lost on most people. It is not a last minute fix all. It is an investment to not just get a paper done but to learn how to do the task to be able to go on and work independently. Even with regular tutoring, I ask for a 30 day commitment for ESOL/ESL students because results take time. I am only interested in working with serious students.
I also operate a job coaching business that has sev" less...
