"I am currently enrolled at Lourdes University in Ohio to obtain my bachelor's degree in English to hopefully become a reading specialist. The satisfaction I get from helping others reach their goals is why I do what I do. I have tutored on the side for a little under a year and I love the bond I create with my students. I am goal-oriented, patient, and I like to figure out learning styles that work for each individual student.

I like to think of writing essays as a formula to make it easier for someone who doesn't get English as much as math. I am able to figure out other ways of teaching so that the student gets more than one perspective on the lesson. I am also able to implement study tactics and mnemonic devices to remember vocabulary. Proofreading is one of my specialties, as my family hosts international students and I am always the one to read over their papers to make sure it is clear and concise.
