"I graduated summa cum laude from Boston University with a Bachelor’s degree in English Language & Literature, then earned my Master’s degree in English from the University of California, Berkeley. I have studied a broad range of British and American literature, with specific focus in modern American fiction, Renaissance literature, world drama, the history of the English language, and the literary study of film and music. I tutor students in writing (academic or business) and literature.

As a graduate student and teaching assistant, I worked with hundreds of students in multiple courses, grading their essays, holding office hours to discuss course content, and, most importantly, helping them develop their critical and analytical skills through writing. When I moved into the corporate world, I found that the skills I developed studying literature—clear and forceful writing, critical analysis, creative thinking, an appreciation of different perspectives—are the same skills that lead to success in business. I can honestly say that I use what I learned as a student every single day as a business professional, and I love helping others develop these same skills for success.

My approach to tutoring is very flexible based on what the student is looking to achieve. I always maintain a focus on the fundamentals of grammar and composition, but every individual has their own preferred path and end goals. Learning works best when it is enjoyable AND challenging, so I try to ensure that it is always both.
