"I have had a great many opportunities...in so many way and from so many people. As a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a Liberal Arts degree I was able to engage in a wide variety of disciplines including various histories, composition, art appreciation and so much more. While some may have been surface studies they all encouraged a great deal of curiosity and led me to learn more.

This learning, in and out of a school atmosphere, has shown itself to be one of great joy and discovery and one I would like to pass on to others. I've had a great many fine teachers who set me on a very fortunate path of learning and discovery...and fun.
Upon graduation I wrote advertising copy and worked in radio production. Great fun and a valuable learning experience but soon found that my love of reading and learning led me to what many might consider a dream job, that of owning a book store. For about twenty years BookSmart in the Uptown area of Minneapolis was my passion. We featured new and previously read books, fiction and non-fiction, all genres, hardcover and paperback. I taught me a lot in many different ways and disciplines but the main thing was the reading and learning. Reading...everything from the Edmund Morris Theodore Roosevelt trilogy to a history of Viking rune stones. Learning...how to gather, consider, understand and appreciate all that makes the world go round.
Exchanging information and opinions, moving forward in a positive direction, discovering new ideas and ways of thought, considering the past, present and future...the tutor/student relationship is one that benefits both.
Contact me and we'll talk. That alone would be a lot of fun." less...
