"I have a B.S. and Ph.D. in chemistry and have been tutoring/teaching chemistry for over 15 years. I was an instructor of general chemistry at Penn State University for several years before moving to Philadelphia. Since then, I have worked with students at UPenn, Temple, Drexel and Jefferson Universities in addition to students at local high schools. I have also used the online Wyzant whiteboard platform to work with students across the U.S. from universities such as Vanderbilt, Georgetown, Cal Poly, Cornell, and Northwestern. I have also worked with high school students taking regular, honors, and AP chemistry. Over the years, I have garnered most general chemistry textbooks, as well as many exam questions and homework problems.

I love helping students learn and really understand the material. I make analogies and relate concepts to everyday life whenever possible. I have a sense of humor and always try to make learning fun. I love working one-on-one with students because I can see what concepts/topics are not understood and help build a strong foundation before moving on to harder topics.
