"Hi! My name is Casey W. I was born and raised in NYC and graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in psychology. I am currently pursuing a career in dentistry and have taken all the necessary STEM/pre-med courses to apply to dental school, including general biology, microbiology, biochemistry, general and organic chemistry, anatomy, and physiology. My love for these subjects, along with my strong understanding of them, motivates me to focus on and specialize in these areas.
As for my qualifications, I’ve excelled in my undergraduate science courses and scored in the 90th percentile on the dental entrance exam, highlighting my solid grasp of the sciences. I bring extensive experience working with people of different ages and backgrounds. I currently work as an assistant teacher, have spent summers as a camp counselor, and gained experience working with young adults in a dental office setting. This blend of professional experience and academic expertise qualifies me as a tutor.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my unique combination of a strong foundation in biology and insights from my psychology degree. This allows me to approach teaching with a focus on understanding how students learn best. My teaching methods include using real-world examples, emphasizing understanding over memorization, discussing topics in depth, repeating key information out loud, and using clever tricks to make learning fun and effective. I’m passionate about helping students build both confidence and knowledge, as I believe both are essential for success.
I am always open to feedback and suggestions to tailor my approach to your needs. I have a flexible schedule and respond quickly to inquiries. I look forward to helping you succeed in your academic journey!" less...
