"I am a New York State certified teacher with 20 years of teaching experience at the elementary level. I have a bachelor's degree in Childhood Education/Special Education from NYU and a master's degree in Literacy Studies from Hofstra University. I hold 3 NYS certifications in Childhood Education (Grades 1-6), Students with Disabilities (Grades 1-6), and Literacy (Birth-6). In addition, I am proficient in Spanish and have worked with many English language learners. My teaching experiences have involved working with students from various backgrounds and academic abilities. I have worked in general education classrooms, co-teaching classrooms, self-contained classrooms, and virtually during the Covid-19 pandemic. In every one of these settings, I was able to assess students' needs and interests and provide the necessary individual, small group, and whole-class instruction.
