"A former AP/Honors History and Lit teacher, I have extensive experience tutoring HS, MS, and college students (GACE-certified in HS/MS History, Political Science, English, and Geography) and unique real-world experiences and credentials. After graduating Phi Beta Kappa from Washington University and cum laude from Michigan Law School, I was a law professor and law firm partner, specializing in corporate and international transactions law at several of the largest and most prestigious firms in the world.

Examples of my tutoring students' success:

• One of my students scored a combined 238 (out of 240) on his PSAT. Another scored 800 in Critical Reading on his first SAT. Yet another scored 750 in Writing on his first SAT, with 11 out of 12 on his essay. Many others have scored 750-800 on the new SAT.

• After working with other tutors and never scoring higher than 400 in SAT Critical Reading on four exams, a student with learning challenges increased his score by 110 points.

• Another went from averaging 60 each in APUSH and Honors Lit to the Honor Roll, averaging 90 and 85. Yet another had similar success, increasing his APUSH average from 45 to 90 (scoring 5 on AP test).

• One of my college students with learning challenges went from failing four of five courses to a 3.6 GPA that same semester and 3.75 for the year as she made the Dean’s List. I initially worked with her in History, continuing to do so in courses ranging from Speech to Statistics and Poli Sci to Philosophy. I was tremendously proud to attend her graduation party, where my help was recognized as an essential part of her great success. Her achievement was evidenced by her 3.0+ graduating GPA, up from closer to 2.0. Another college student with learning challenges went from Fs to As in English Comp.

• My debate students were 1st, 2nd, and 2nd in the state in successive years.
