"I have had a plethora of experiences teaching and tutoring over the past 20 years. I began my career in education tutoring with the Americorp's "Tell me a Story" program, where, after working with students one on one during the day, I facilitated and after school program that used theater to reinforce literacy. Since then, I have tutored both adults and children in a variety of situations. For instance, I have tutored adults learning English as a second language and students on independent study needing extra science instruction. In order to supplement my K-8 multi-subject teaching credential, I am currently working on my Single-Subject Science credential, which will qualify me to teach science from Kindergarten through 12th grade . I have been teaching 6th ,7th , and 8th grade for the past 5 years and take pride in my ability to support students with a myriad of needs, strengths, and abilities.

My enthusiasm for science is contagious and my deep understanding of science concepts provides a strong foundation from which to teach. Also, I earned my Bachelors in Anthropology, which" less...
