"Tutoring is the education experience I couldn't find in a classroom. Over the past few years, I have been engaging with families and supporting student learning in alternative forms. From playing Bananagrams with students, to playing "Hotel" with reluctant learners to practice elementary math skills, I love thinking up new and fun ways to engage students within and beyond the bounds of their school work. When it's time for business, I'm ready to get work done, and always see assignments and projects through to the end. Though school is not for everyone, I seek to engage students in alternative activities to teach them, even when they don't know it!

My highest level of education is a Masters degree, and I have presented at numerous conferences nationally on various topics. I was trained for a wealth of diverse needs and various family backgrounds so I am prepared to professionally, yet compassionately support my students. I am open and willing to tutor on school work and supplemental work to support the intellectually-bored or struggling learner.

I thrived in math throughout my education and even received the highest award of math in my high school graduating class.

Growing up under a sister who was a stickler for grammar and essay proofing, I have had many tutors support my school studies. I have seen strategies that work, those that don't, and have honed my own abilities throughout my education, writing and defending 3 theses, totaling over 120 pages of original content.

I am open and flexible, looking for opportunities and families to support.
