My names Alex. I graduated from Emory University with my Masters of Public Health in Epidemiology and now work as a Senior Epidemiologist alongside a team of researchers focused on using statistical methods to model the burden of Infectious Diseases across the United States. Prior to my time at Emory, I studied Biomedical Sciences at the University of Central Florida. It was at UCF where I discovered my love of science, and specifically medical research, but math has always been my forte and is the reason I'm doing what I do now. Statistics is a decent portion of my job, as is statistical programming in programs such as SAS - so if coding interests you I could teach that too!

I find my teaching approach is more about combining the topic of interest with the person learning. Being a visual learner myself I always needed to see how something worked or be able to relate it to a day-to-day idea in order to fully understand it; to me, just memorizing a concept never quite gave me confidence in truly knowing something. I carry this idea with me into tutoring, finding ways to relate your topic of interest to a familiar idea to make grasping it as easy as possible. I am capable of tutoring a wide array of topics in mathematics and science, so let me help you!
