"As a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with a doctorate degree in clinical psychology, I strive to assist those studying for licensure. It is my firm belief while in school we never truly learn how to study for and take licensing exams, and my goal is to help you pass!

I work for the LA County Department of Public Health, Substance Abuse Prevention and Control Bureau. One of my main roles is in training, workforce development and utilization management for patients seeking substance use disorder services in Los Angeles County. Outside of this I work with individuals studying for psychologist licensing exams (specially the EPPP).

Prior to my work with the County, I was the Executive Director of a drug treatment facility for 6 years with a focus on licensing/accreditation, human resources, clinical supervision, and staff development.

I have more than 18 years of clinical experience related to children, adolescents, and families. I specialize in families with disabilities, specifically the non-disabled sibling. as well as 8 years of experience with drug and alcohol treatment and recovery.

Volunteer Work-

-I conduct Clinical Psychological Evaluations for immigrants and asylum seekers working pro bono with non-profit law firms.

-More than eight (8) years of volunteer work in reading skills, comprehension, and study skills with children and adolescents. I have volunteered in 6th grade elementary school classrooms. I have also worked extensively with ESL students of all ages.

When I work with an individual my first step is to assess their needs and help them create viable goals. I believe in adapting my tutoring approach depending on the person's learning style. My philosophy is helping the student understand their own learning process so that they may use that understanding to accomplish their goals.
