"I am an ESL teacher with 16 years of teaching experience. I taught ESL and Adult Basic Education (ABE) at Yakima Valley Community College for 15 years, and during that time, I encountered students of all ages, ethnicities, and educational backgrounds. I love tutoring because the one-on-one experience gives students the time and practice needed to be successful. Tutoring is very rewarding because students can feel comfortable asking questions and going back over important material. I enjoy building professional tutoring relationships with students and helping them to succeed in school, at work, and in the community.

I currently teach Adult ESL for Literacy Source, a non-profit organization in Seattle. I am the Coordinator/Instructor for the Parent ESL program. I go into two Seattle elementary schools and teach English to parents.

I am currently working part-time for Literacy Source and would love to reach more ESL students in the Seattle area!
