"I have experience teaching students of every ability level; I have taught English at private college prep schools as well as schools for at-risk youth who struggle with basic literacy. I am passionate about the study of literature and writing, but I also understand that many are not. Therefore, one of my strengths as a teacher and tutor is making material relatable and being able to answer the question, "Why do I need this?"

I believe that tutoring provides a unique opportunity to reach students in a more profound way than might be possible in the classroom because a tutor's sole job is to work with one student or small group, rather than a large class. I am a Magna cum laude graduate from Ithaca college and am qualified to teach English at the community college level. I earned a 710 SAT verbal score and 680 SAT writing score.
