"Since I was a child, I have loved knowledge, and sharing my gifts with others. The love of sharing my gifts and skills with others has manifested through teaching my entire life. From teaching middle school students how to do algebra, to equipping software engineers with the skills to land $200K+ jobs, I have spent my time using my knowledge of math, computers, and interviewing to help people experience the same joy of gaining useful knowledge.
My first love is mathematics, but I decided to use my gifts and talents in the world of computer programming. I pursued a double degree in Math and CS, completing coursework in data structures and algorithms, web development, linear algebra, multivariable calculus, and differential equations. During that time, I unofficially tutored fellow students in math, and used some of my free time to participate in an organization that taught CS principals to elementary school students. I spent almost 4 years at Google as a Software Engineer with a specialization in mobile devices, gaining experience in building software architecture, frontend development and backend development. My domain knowledge of computers is deep.
I have multiple years of experience with in-class tutoring and virtual tutoring as well. When I was in high school, I spent a year teaching algebra 2 and algebra to other high school students during one of my extra periods. I also spent almost 1 year tutoring college and high school math and computer science courses online before I started at Google. During that summer, I developed a curriculum and taught a summer camp for 2 weeks on computer science and game design basics in Scratch. Currently, I coach young adults how to do Leetcode problems. My approach is personable, patient, with a little tough love.
My SAT Reading & Math score was 1460, and an 800 on the Math section. My Math Subject 2 test was an 800. I achieved a 5 on the both the Calc BC and the Computer Science AP exams and a 4 on the Statistics AP exam." less...
