"I am a retired high school English teacher interested in helping students have a life-long learning attitude and have a better understanding of English. I absolutely loved every minute actively engaging with students, helping them comprehend the author's meaning of literature, and assisting my students with the many faceted mechanics of the English language.

Ensuring all, not just some, students clearly understand the English language mechanics and the many interpretations of literature is very rewarding. As an educator, watching when that "light goes on" for a student, and he/she fully understands and can then be independent, is what teaching really means.

I love retirement, but also terribly miss being a teacher.

Grammar, and literature are my three top English favorites. I not only taught Regular English grades 9 - 12, but I also taught Honors English 9 - 11, and College Prep. I sat on the District's committee which created and wrote the objectives and standards. I know the required grammar, and especially literature, for each grade level.
