"I earned my undergraduate degree from California State University, Los Angeles, where I received a B.A. in Pure Mathematics with a specialization in teaching. Additionally, I hold an M.A. in Math Education from Aurora University. After completing my degrees, I obtained my teaching credentials, and since 2013, I have been teaching in the Los Angeles Unified School District.
During my college years, I worked in a math lab, where I supported students with their assignments across various levels of mathematics. Since 2007, I have tutored hundreds of students while managing two tutoring centers. Until 2014, I operated both locations, providing instruction in small groups and on a one-on-one basis. I assisted students in subjects including Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Trigonometry, Precalculus, and AP Calculus, as well as College Algebra and Calculus 1 and 2.
The majority of the students I have supported have been, and continue to be, at the high school and college levels. I also offered ACT and SAT tutoring to further assist my students in their academic pursuits.
As an experienced and certified LAUSD teacher with eleven years of teaching, I primarily instruct 11th and 12th-grade students. Currently, I teach Honors Algebra 2 and Honors Precalculus, and I have previously taught Geometry and AP Calculus. My passion for mathematics drives me to help students not only understand the subject but also improve their grades. In my classrooms, I typically have between 23 and 34 students." less...
