"Hi! My name is Mary, and I graduated with a Education degree specializing in History and Political Science. I have worked 5 years as a high school teacher, teaching sociology, psychology, law, US History, and AP US Government. I love working one-on-one with students to help them achieve their full potential as life-long learners. My students like that I challenge them to think outside the box but also that I use popular culture to make topics relatable. I love being able to help students connect to their learning.

I have been teaching for 5 years, which gives me great insight into what teachers are looking for when it comes to testing and papers. As a teacher of history, I emphasize reading and analyzing primary documents, and writing to show comprehension and analysis. My Social Studies experience is quite wide, as I have studied many diverse topics in the History and Social Studies field. I really enjoy American History, and spend my free time researching new topics and expanding my knowledge base.
