"Hi, I’m Noor!

I hold a BA in Communications with a concentration in Political Communications, along with minors in Journalism and Criminology, Law, and Society. My diverse educational background alone reflects my broad interests and ambition. As a student, I struggled with study techniques and test-taking, but by my sophomore year, I developed a study plan that worked for me. I often wish I had a tutor to help me find the right methods sooner, and now, I’m excited to help students discover those strategies earlier on.

For the past 15 years, I’ve been a neighborhood tutor, and since 2016, I’ve worked as a substitute teacher on and off due to my university schedule. I transitioned into long-term positions in 2023. In these long-term roles, I took on more responsibilities, including creating lesson plans, giving assignments, and entering grades, particularly for upper elementary classrooms. Though teaching has always been my passion, my availability has led me to focus more on tutoring, alongside my role as a Strategic Communications Specialist. When students come to me, my goal is for them to not only grasp the material but also walk away with strategies for thinking critically and solving problems independently.
