"Are you struggling in school, due to learning disabilities or other challenges? I get it. It took me seven years – and five colleges – to finally earn my BA cum laude from in 2006, with a major in Psychology, and then a Masters of Arts in Jewish Studies in 2009 from Hebrew College, with a concentration in the Bible.
Starting in 2008, I have led a weekly adult Torah study group at my synagogue, now called “Historical Judaism,” as we study post-biblical Jewish writings and writers.
Throughout this time of leading a small group, I have led two adult ed classes on the history and development of the Bible in which I developed the syllabus and overall course structure, one in 2008 entitled “What Israelites Knew That Jews May Not,” a single two-hour-long course, and one in 2014 entitled “Canon Fodder: The 2500-Year Development of the Jewish Canon,” a 3-part course.
In addition, I’ve tutored students in algebra and this past May, I tutored a student for the 10th Grade MCAS Math section.
An experienced tutor and teacher of high schoolers and adults, I can help provide the tools you need to do your best. Math, psychology, SAT prep, and Bible studies are my specialties, and I am also very into solving and constructing puzzles, and am rather knowledgeable about popular music from the last 100 years. I work patiently with students of all ages, either in small groups or one-on-one. I am also the author of two books, NLD From the Inside Out and King Kong Sudoku. Remote only; telephone or Zoom, flexible schedule, references upon request." less...
