"Hi. My name is Yair! I am a hard-of-hearing male who is looking to tutor clients in ASL [American Sign Language]. I learned sign language in a deaf school. I am a graduate from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor's degree in Deaf Studies with a minor in Leadership. I have known ASL now for more than 15 years.

I teach 2 hours session(s) to ensure that you, the student, will not only learn the new information but also to ensure that, through practice, you will be able to retain the information for future use. I use well thought out lesson plans to ensure that the process is both efficient and fun - rather than just teaching the information by rote. I have taught students American Sign Language with this method of teaching and my students have gotten the best results in their education courses relating to American Sign Language.

I also include teaching information regarding Deaf culture, important bits of Deaf history, relevant laws that have been passed as well as local, national, and globally-related events. If you are local, I can also accompany my students to Deaf events to allow the student to participate as they become more comfortable in ASL and Deaf culture.
