"I'm Emma, and I have a passion for helping children achieve their potential in all areas, but especially in reading and writing and all things Language Arts. I am a qualified teacher, but beyond that I have homeschooled my two children and saw for myself the difference working one-to-one could make to how quickly they learn. I also recognize how much their confidence grew having an adult individually encourage them, and it is this independence, confidence and joy of learning I want to foster for your child.

My main goal is for the child to gain a love of gaining knowledge and understanding, and above all to have fun in the process. I aim for our tutoring sessions to be rewarding and something that makes the chid feel seen as a whole person.

I graduated from Durham University in the UK with a. degree in English Literature and then studied for my Masters at York St John. I have taught for multiple years and my favorite way to teach is as a tutor because I really believe this allows me to use my skills to share with your child a love of literature, reading and understanding, and writing to express themselves.
