"Hello, my name is Tom, and I am excited to teach you! I am currently a rising 4th year student attending University of Texas at Austin as mathematics major, where I got A's in most of my math classes there. I got all A's in my secondary school math courses as well. I also did a Computer Science certificate.

I have worked as part-time math instructor at Mathnasium of Plano for year while I was high school senior. Also, while I was 2nd year student at UT Austin, I did part-time private tutoring in math in Fall 2020 to 2 students (one in elementary school and other one in middle school). I did part-time private tutoring in all 4 core subjects of secondary school in Spring 2021 to middle-school student. What I love about tutoring is that I love the idea of helping people understand material, learn independently, and reach their goals to their satisfaction. I adore that they become happy once they are more successful as student.

While I was working in Mathnasium, all students enjoyed my way of teaching/guiding them through math problems. They thought I was entertaining, relatable to them, and nice. I related their math problems to real-world applications in order to keep them engaged. As private tutor, 2 students who I tutored liked me as person and as tutor as well. They felt that they made progress in Math. In addition, in terms of my teaching style, when students are stuck on math problems, I guide them through solving problems themselves. I also explain to them what problems are about and how to approach them. Moreover, I ask students few questions along the way in order to make sure that they are not lost or confused in the learning process.
