"I have my teaching license in mathematics, social sciences, history, psychology, economics, and sociology. I have taught and substituted in elementary, middle, and high schools. I have been tutoring since 2002. I live in a city with two universities and countless high schools. This has given me many tutorees and years to hone my skill to teach math courses up to Calculus. On top of that, I was a peer tutor for 3 years at my university for math, history, writing, and psychology. I have also worked with adults for GED tutoring in an outpatient facility.

Personally, I have a niche with numbers, math, and memory. These skills have paved the way for me to effectively tutor students in a way that is efficient and fun (That's right-- math can be fun!) I enjoy helping students hit that "ah-ha" moment where they click with the material and are able to do it themselves. My goal as a tutor is to eventually never have a reason to work with you again. It might sound harsh, but it is the truth. Because as a tutor, I am supposed to bridge the gap between your disconnect of the material so that in the future you can drive across that bridge yourself.
