I have worked with high school students preparing to gain admission to their college of choice, at all stages of the process. Personal essays are a speciality of mine. I have also worked with an elite test prep company and know the strategies necessary to improve your SAT scores in reading and writing.

On a day-to-basis in schoolwork, you will see major developments in your critical reading and writing abilities in working with me. I believe that everyone has the potential to become a strong, confident writer once equipped with three tools: practice, practice, and practice. As a private tutor, I work with students at every stage of the process, from brainstorming and outlining all the way to revision and spelling/grammar fine-tuning.

I have been an avid student of French for fifteen years, gaining near-native fluency which positions me to work with students from beginning to advanced levels. I have studied foreign language pedagogy at Harvard, mastering various teaching strategies designed to produce results for every kind of language learner.

As a PhD candidate in literature, I have mastered the arts of textual analysis and composition of the expository essay. I love working with students to help them arrive at not only a greater level of reading comprehension but also a comfort and confidence in their critical reading skills.
