"I am a mature, responsible, understanding, and caring person, that has a passion for working with children, who is interested in tutoring students in Pre kindergarten through third grade. This would take place online. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education. For ten years I have worked for the School District of Philadelphia assisting kindergarten, first, second, and third grade students (including special education) in reading math, phonics, and writing. I work with small groups as well as provide one on one instruction. Also, I have worked with 3, 4, and 5 year old children, engaging them in educational activities and projects at a daycare/child development center. In addition, I assisted with the after school program by helping students with homework.

During tutoring sessions, I like to utilize a variety of methods and activities, according to the needs of the individual student. Sometimes, I even use educational games pertaining to the subject material. I have found that this enhances a child's learning, and makes it more enjoyable. I do not provide homework, because I feel the students receive enough homework from school. However, I do encourage them to review the lesson. In addition, I like to give something fun for them to do at home which reinforces the topic(s) taught.

I am available weekdays from 9:00PM-6:00 PM with flexibility. If it is necessary, I can be available on Saturdays.
