"Hi! I am Mital and I truly enjoy learning and teaching. I have extensive experience as an Early Childhood Educator and am certified with a CDA (Child Development Associate). Tutoring has been my passion because I love seeing my students’ light bulbs go off when they first understand a concept that they were having trouble with. It is personally rewarding to make positive impacts on my students’ academic goals!
I have been tutoring for over 10 years and have had great success with my students, ranging from PreK to college-age, and non-traditional students. I began tutoring by helping classmates in high school math and continued my way as a mentor and a tutor in after-school settings. In addition, I have been tutoring online in a growing list of qualifying subjects, including elementary subjects, MS Office, Early Childhood Education, Chess, and anatomy and physiology.
My goal, as a tutor, is to make concepts simple for my students, in order to help them learn and get As. In my sessions, I try to understand what a student is struggling with by asking leading questions, and then break down the complex topic into simple and comprehensible parts to help student see how ideas are connected. Next, I encourage the student to apply the ideas independently after seeing if they have grasped the concepts. Throughout the sessions, I bring my experience, patience, positivity, and creativity to ensure a pleasant learning experience. Everybody learns differently, regardless of their learning styles, so I tailor my teaching method to meet each student's needs, abilities, and goals. I also have experience working with diverse backgrounds, such as those from a foreign country, disability, and experiences. I find it so much easier and rewarding when I find a connection with my students to boost their motivation.
Please contact me if you have questions or concerns, or to schedule lessons, and I will provide fast responses. I am comfortable tutoring online, and also require an 8-hour cancellation notice." less...
