"I’m Darryl. I’ve recently retired from a career in information security. I’ve used many types of mathematics to solve real-world problems. During my career, I interacted with many colleagues and assisted them in understanding the problem-solving techniques needed for our business. Over the years I received several awards for my technical work and commendations for helping prepare the next generation of workers in my organization.

I specialize in mathematical problem solving and would love to assist students from middle school through adult learners. I can assist with any middle school through high school level math course and many college math courses. My focus is on identifying and helping to eliminate the basic obstacles preventing students from understanding a topic, and motivating students by giving them an appreciation for the subject’s use in the real world. I also assist others by reviewing and proofreading their writing, including technical writing. My reviews go beyond simply finding basic spelling and grammar mistakes, to helping to improve clarity, organization, logical cohesion, and even technical correctness.
