"I am an artist and designer with a love for art history and materials of the world, both man made and natural. I am Interested in how materials, specifically awe inspiring ones, can bring people together in appreciation and gratitude.
My background includes the following: classroom educator, museum educator, residency center facilitator, and homeless shelter art program manager.
I have over 9 years of experience teaching studio art and art history to students of all ages. The majority of my students pass the AP Art History exam and the AP Studio Art exam, and frequently score a 4 or higher.
Having taught about the history of art from around the world, I can make what you are learning about in your social studies, or world religions class come alive for you with art. There is no better way to learn history than from a primary source such as art. My years of experience with this subject matter, and my passion for it, makes me a great tutor. I am open-minded, and empathetic with my students. I understand the struggle of learning how to study for a serious test and have the tools to help you. I have many different study techniques, textbooks, and online resources that I can share.
Contact me if you are looking to build new study habits, or just want to understand an art topic better. I pride myself in making history fun.
I can also help you build an art portfolio for college, or just want to become more a more divergent and creative thinker." less...
