My name is Laura, and I look forward to working with you!

I've spent 30 years working on energy and environmental issues as a lawyer and consultant. I also work as a coordinator for one of the largest foreign exchange programs that brings high school students over to the U.S. for a semester or academic year -- I place students in appropriate families, help families prepare for having an exchange student, and supervise and counsel exchange students between the ages of 15-18.

I not only maintain contact with my students and families, but I know how to be sensitive to cultural differences in communications and behavioral issues common to teenagers. Every student is different! That helps me in working with teens in the classroom setting, too, where for the past 8 years I have worked with high school students in legal and social studies classes in subjects such as mock trial and constitutional law." less...
