"I have had a passion for teaching ever since I was in high school when I started helping out neighbors and family friends in Math. I always excelled in the subject in school and was able to synthesize the information and communicate it in a way that related to people who had a phobia about the subject. When I saw people overcome this fear of Math was when it felt the most rewarding. It was this love for teaching and the subject that drove me to pursue Math and related subjects (Statistics and Computer Science) through multiple degrees all with vision of teaching it at an university. Priorities and financial reason took me along a different path into industry but my passion for teaching and imparting knowledge stays through this day.

After completing my Bachelors degree I joined my alma mater as an instructor in Statistics and Computer Science. This was my first formal position as a teacher and this experience only solidified my belief that this was what I was meant to be either in a structured environment in an institution or in a more informal tutoring role.

My educational credentials include masters degrees in Mathematics and Statistics from major US universities and during the pursuit of these degrees I won multiple teaching awards and accolades. I continued to be a personal tutor during this time in addition to my teaching assistant/instructor responsibilities. I found myself to be a patient tutor and began to understand an individuals needs and abilities.

During the the last 20 years, I have gained valuable experience in industry working in Analytics using the knowledge I acquired in grad school to solve business problems. This allows me to relate academic exercises to real world problems. I have a son who is about to enter high school so am very familiar with the curriculum taught in schools and universities.
