"Hi! My name is Julian. I majored in Biochemistry and minored in Physics and Math at Northeastern University. Currently, I am a Biochemistry PhD student at Penn State University. I am enthusiastic about science and my excitement carries through to my students. I love biochemistry because I enjoy seeing connections between various fields, and my research interests are anything related to enzymes. One day, my goal is to be a college teaching professor because I enjoy sharing my knowledge and I want to reach a larger audience.

I have considerable experience teaching biology and chemistry to college and high school students. In the past 4 years, I’ve tutored over 2000+ hours with glowing reviews. At Northeastern University, I received multiple awards for my tutoring including Tutor of the Month, Outstanding Service Award, and Student’s Choice Award. In addition, I raised the average of the Biochemistry class (which consisted of more than 100 students) from a B/B+ to an A- by implementing weekly recitations. My tutoring success stems from my deep understanding of biochemical and physical principles. As a result, I’m able to break down complex concepts into simpler concepts, and explain them in different ways. Finally, I am able to use my background in different fields such as chemistry and physics, and connect them back to biology.
