"My name is Aoife and I have a Bachelor's in Biological Sciences with a minor in Chemistry. I have a Master's degree in Microbiology, and 3 years of PhD coursework and experience in this field. I have taught college students various courses in biology and microbiology for 5 years, and I have the same amount of tutoring experience as well. I have done a significant amount of outreach and mentoring for AP and college credit high school courses as well.

My experience in hands-on teaching in both the classroom and laboratory settings has given me insight into many types of learning styles. Through my appreciation for student feedback, I have become a great instructor because I like to converse and interact with everyone. For me, instruction and learning goes both ways - I pride myself in listening to my students and having a conversational approach that lets me teach in individual, personalized ways.
