"Hi, my name is Adam G! I am a certified secondary mathematics teacher with over 10 years' teaching experience. I have three years of experience in tutoring High School Mathematics, specifically the IB Diploma Program at the Higher Level, as well as AP Statistics. As an experienced teacher, I find that the best method of teaching is by working with students to build a conceptual understanding of mathematics, then providing ample practice for my students to master applying those concepts. My teaching philosophy is that while preparation for exams is a significant concern, developing solid reasoning skills and discovering the myriad ways in which that reasoning can be applied in a variety of interesting contexts is equally important.

I have taught students from a variety of cultural and linguistic backgrounds, as an international teacher working around the world, primarily in Grades 9 - 12. I have taught IBMYP Mathematics Grades 6 to 10, all IBDP Mathematics courses at the Standard and Higher Levels, as well as AP Statistics. My tutoring experience has been working with Grade 11 and 12 students as they prepare for their IBDP examinations, all of which passed their exams, more than half of whom did so with a top score of 7.
