"Over the past decade, I have taught pharmacology I & II, med-surg I & II, NCLEX review, CCRN review courses as well as courses in an RN-BSN program. My doctorate is practice focused (DNP) so I can remain up to date on current issues in EBP. I am also well versed in academic writing and APA format; can proofread papers for accuracy, help with research and APA format.

I recognize that tutoring is a significant investment. So it very important for me to create a learning environment that is individualized to your needs and learning style; I break down content in a way that you understand. I pride myself of being prepared and have clear objectives so we maximize the time we have in our sessions. My goal is to partner with you to help you "get it” using an organized, systematic approach.

How I do that is: after students communicate the areas they are covering (or struggling with), I create a tutoring session that hits the key concepts. It's important to understand: once you know the concept...it does not matter what the question is: you will get it right! And we practice that with NCLEX style questions (including select all that apply and prioritization) to both build confidence and assess how well you can apply the knowledge. In addition, before each exam, we do a comprehensive review of the material using NCLEX questions in a mock exam format. This allows us to identify what you know and what knowledge gaps we need to fill.
