"I'm Ben! I'm currently in my 12th year teaching 5th grade. I graduated from Hope College in Holland, Michigan. Since college, I taught for 6 years in Raleigh, NC before moving to Austin where I've spent the last 6 years. I became a teacher after realizing in college how much I enjoyed learning from my professors and how I wanted to give back to the next generation. I've went from teaching all subjects to ELA to Math/Science to now teaching only Science, but I still have a love for all the subjects. In my classroom, I've excelled with whole group instruction, while also being able to working with students in small groups and individually.

I've tutored students in grades 3-5 over the last few years in reading and math. I am more than happy to work with students on homework, projects, or provide addition practice/remediation, whatever they need.
