"Hello! I'm Michelle, a writer and former English teacher. I graduated from Hofstra University with a BA in Creative Writing and an MA in Fantasy Literature. After graduating, I taught English at a local college for fourteen years and then at the high school level for another six. Much of my free time is spent writing for fun, and I have a solid background in both academic and creative writing. I'm a novelist and have extensive experience writing and critiquing different genres of fiction. One of the articles I wrote in my master's program was also published in an academic journal, and I spent a couple of years writing content articles for websites like eHow and Livestrong.

Teaching English is one of my passions, and I enjoy working with students of all ages and abilities. I love teaching highly motivated college students how to write effective essays, and I love being able to inspire disengaged high school students who struggle in school. Most of all, I love helping students see how reading and writing can be relevant and fun.
