"Hello, I'm Alex! In addition to my extensive medical background as both an EMT and an Emergency Department Technician, I have a bachelor's degree in Public Health from the University of Washington. While in college, I found a passion for chemistry. It helps to explain how our world works in the most fascinating way!
Over the past 2 years, I have been a chemistry tutor at the college level. I would work with professors and hold office hours for their classes. I have worked with a large variety of students and learning styles. Finding that "lightbulb" moment is incredibly exciting and rewarding. Very often, chemistry topics can be overwhelming and I love to break down these concepts using drawings and/or examples from everyday life. Visual aids can really help students to approach a idea from a bird's eye view. Real life examples allow students to see how these thoughts can apply to their every day.
I want students to feel confident in their chemistry knowledge and understand the foundations of this exciting science. Feel free to contact me with any questions or to schedule a session!" less...
