"Too often, students make the mistake of trying to write a college essay that they think admissions officers will want to hear. In reality, the most effective essays come from students who are able to turn inward, and ask themselves, "who am I, and what do I have to say?" As a recent Yale graduate who has been coaching college applicants for two years, I understand that this is no easy task, and it comes with a lot of pressure and stress. I am here to support you at any step of the way. My specialty is helping students craft essays that are authentic, creative, and compelling. I do this by building strong connections with each student, then asking the right questions that challenge them to tease out compelling personal stories, and finally working with them to make sure their writing is sharp and effective.
As a Yale History major and certified History teacher, I also offer tutoring in AP US/World History. Whether you need help with reading strategies, essay writing, test taking, DBQ questions, or studying techniques, I am happy to work with you on all of your AP History needs!
