"I'm a freelance writer and tutor with over two years' experience as a professional tutor for college students.

I worked in Drury University's writing center when I was a student there, which is where I first fell in love with helping students. After completing my undergraduate degree, I started coursework in education, but for the past few years, have been thoroughly enjoying working for myself and helping students outside of the traditional classroom.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in professional writing (and I minored in English, which included extensive work in literature). In my freelance work, I've gained experience in resume building, marketing, and copy writing as well. My recent tutoring experience is mostly with college students, but I've also worked with middle and high school students professionally.

I love the English language and communication in all forms - especially writing. When I tutor, I aim to help students understand why the task before them is important so that they will be motivated to improve.
