"Hello! My Name is Madison and I graduated with a B.S. degree in Human development and family sciences with a minor in psychology. In college, I had the amazing opportunity to teach international students in both psychology and English writing and communication. It was at this time that I found teaching others to be the most rewarding and wanted to pursue teaching further. I try to keep my lessons creative and fun to engage the students in the material which furthers their understanding and overall memory of the material. After the lesson, I am always open to feedback from both students and parents on how to improve my teaching style to better fit each client.
I have excelled in both anthropology and psychology classes throughout college, however, what truly makes me a wonderful tutor for these subjects is my dedication to my students learning, by catering the lesson plan to each student and coming prepared to each lesson geared towards the student's needs. I have taught many lessons in all types of psychology such as clinical, personality, abnormal, general, developmental, and cognitive psychology. I also have experience in teaching cultural and general anthropology.
Although I am a native speaker of English, I am incredibly patient with students who are learning English for the first time. I have taught ages 18-35 understanding that everyone is at a different learning level and everyone will learn in different ways. I gear my lessons in English towards this dynamic in order to make it more structured to my student's needs.
If you have any questions regarding the topics I teach or even the method of teaching I have please do not hesitate to reach out !" less...
