"My name is Kai and I look forward to helping you! I am a plant biologist by trade but have extensive education in biology with an emphasis on evolution and ecology. During my undergraduate career, I was a tutor for general biology/chemistry and was one of the top tutors in my subject. My goal for each session was not only to help students with their current problem but to also leave them with advice and resources that would help them with future academic difficulties. I carried this philosophy with me to graduate school where I taught several sections of biology labs to undergraduate students. I excelled in this environment and received the Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award in my final year. During this time, I also pioneered and executed a unique lesson plan for elementary school children on the importance of pollinators and sustainability. I found that I am passionate not only about my studies but sharing my knowledge as well.
