"I am currently a mathematics instructor at Genesee Community College in Batavia, New York.

Since I graduated high school in June 2008, I have been in higher education either as a student or as an instructor or both. My journey as an educator started as a tutor for mathematics classes at the University of Texas at Austin (UT) where I obtained a Bachelor's in Mathematics. It continued as a recitation instructor for business statistics classes at Michigan State University (MSU) where I obtained a Master's in Statistics. It was then followed by four successful and delightful years as a full-time community college instructor of mathematics first at Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana (Ivy Tech) and then at Bakersfield College (BC).

Overall, I taught a broad spectrum of mathematics classes: quantitative reasoning, elementary algebra, intermediate algebra, college algebra, trigonometry, calculus 1 and 2, finite mathematics, and statistics. I worked with student populations that varied significantly from one institution to another and quite often, a diverse population within the same classroom. I strive to know as much of my students' stories as possible in an attempt to build a healthy relation and have the necessary knowledge to provide the adequate flexibility for their success where needed.

In my free time, I love to walk around the city or in nature and listen to podcasts (mainly about history and current events, as well as reviews of horrible movies). I also participate in French and Spanish conversation groups, a board game group, a hiking group, and improv." less...
