"I am a motivating, dynamic educator that understands various personality and character traits that makes up the student. My philosophy is that of Dr. Akbar's "Community of Self," in which there has to be a balance in the academic, personal, and emotional well-being of the classroom environment. I not only enjoy helping others, I intend to do so within the capacity of their current level of discipline; as the methodologies to education become more transparent, I emphasize the need to develop life skills that can be utilized in the context of the learning environment.

I've been involved in education to some degree, either professionally or voluntarily, since the age of 14, where I first tutored elementary school-aged students at my local church in Brooklyn, NY. With both parents being former educators, it seemed like a natural transition for me.

The majority of my experience entails teaching in the middle school sector; I've also taught 4th and 5th grade "at risk" populations. Other subjects I've been capable of teaching in the charter school system: Health, Social Studies, Math, and Language Arts.

The ideal setting would be for me to garner the resources for the student's growth. Taking from diverse mediums, my lessons should encompass an array of perspectives, in order to give the student a non-biased approach to education.
