"Hello, I'm Randi! I have been working with children for most of my life. I got my first CPR and babysitting certification when I was 12 years old and have enjoyed teaching ever since. I received my bachelor's degree in early childhood and elementary education from Baylor University in 2002 and my master's degree from Murray State University in 2015. I have experience working in traditional classrooms, tutoring centers, online teaching, and even at home lessons. My specialty area is younger children, but I have always loved math. I have experience teaching higher level math and ACT prep courses.

I love planning out individualized lessons that are fun and engaging. I do everything I can to make the material relevant to my students so they can set their own goals and find the value in their own learning. I am also happy to provide families with fun ideas and strategies to improve learning outside of school or tutoring. That way, students treat learning as a part of life, not just part of school.

I do my best to include real world examples and hands on activities in my math lessons. Students need to be able to see how math works and how it can be applied in order to really internalize it.

Science is all about exploration of the world. I enjoy guiding students through that exploration and helping them make amazing discoveries.

Since early childhood is my educational focus, I have taken many courses on how to assess and teach the proper use of English. I can help with everything from the proper mouth formation for different letter sounds to writing well organized essays.
