"I have my BA degree in Early Childhood and Middle Education. I have teaching experience in both the private school sector and the public school sector. I have taught second grade and Pre K. I have approximately fifteen years teaching experience.

I definitely enjoy tutoring and working one on one with students to help them reach their educational goals. I enjoy all subjects but I do enjoy teaching basic skills, reading, phonics, spelling, and handwriting. I find tutoring very rewarding and I feel that I making a difference in the world.

I have experience teaching beginning reading and writing skills that included phonemic awareness, sight words, letter and number formation, rhyming, and skill building. I also have experience with the PALS (Phonemic Awareness Literacy Skills) test.

I have experience teaching Zaner-Bloser handwriting skills. I have taught both printing and cursive writing. I have also taught spelling on a second grade level which included weekly lessons, spelling bees, and tests.

I have extended experience teaching phonics and phonemic awareness skills to early childhood students. I have very strong skills in teaching letters and sounds and building towards word recognition and reading skills.
