"Hello! I'm Mr. C!

As a student who struggled myself, I am fully aware of the importance of building relationships and connecting with people or in this case, tutoring students! All students need someone that believes in them and can provide what they need to do better.

I have been an educator for over 20 years and am passionate about student learning. What I believe is most important about tutoring is finding out the specific needs of students, developing goals with them and then working on how to make the most improvement as soon as possible. Learning isn't always about mastering everything and being perfect! It's about a growth mindset and moving towards a goal and getting better! My focus is making student's feel valued yet challenging them to be the best they can be. You can do it!!

I have over 13 years teaching experience in rural, urban and suburban settings. It has been my honor to watch students learn and to become young scholars in the process. Many students who need additional support don't always get what they need in a normal school day. It will be my agreement that tutoring sessions are catered to the needs of each student, taking into consideration learning style, strength and interests.

I am most patient with our youngest learners, know how to cultivate in students the passion and potential that is there for them to succeed. This is accomplished by simply being observant to student learning, asking questions and creating collaborative goals. I have over 10 years an educator in the elementary setting. I also know that while tutoring does not solve every problem right away, it does allow for our youngest learners to have a growth mindset that they can improve.
