"Hi, I'm Sylvie! I graduated from Simon Fraser University with an Honors Bachelors degree in Psychology and a minor in English. I'm both an artist and a researcher at heart and love to help students find creative problem solving solutions and gain an in depth and well-rounded understanding of the topic at hand. I believe that the key to improvement in any subject is helping students to critically think and engage their creativity. My approach to teaching is to meet a student where they are with a subject and help to build an understanding of the subject around their individual learning strengths.

From 2016 to 2018, I taught as an undergraduate TA at Simon Fraser University. During this time, I specialized in teaching Research Methods in Psychology and Learning and Memory. However, I am able to assist with just about any undergraduate level Psychology course. I am also very experienced with writing research papers in Psychology and essay writing in English. My English minor focused mainly on literature and poetry, so I am happy to provide some help there as well! I have also been a professional artist since 2017 and am able to assist students with many introductory illustration methods and techniques.
