"This school season I have been substitute teaching for both the Bellefonte School District, and the State College Area School District. I enjoy and appreciate the wide range of educational ideas, and inspiration I’ve received from my engagement in a variety of classrooms. I’ve taught creative writing, cooking, art, and general language arts. I have been an educator for over 30 years, in a variety of venues, and I enjoy working with children, and adults alike.

I am also a musician, and I love to make art, and believe in a well-rounded educational experience. All of us learn and absorb learning in different ways. I like to cater to all, and work to figure out how best to guide within the learning experience.

I have a long and deep love of language, both written and spoken. I have been an avid reader since age 4. I have won awards for my writing, and have published a chapbook of poetry through a small PA press. My work with all ages of students in various subjects gives me the tools to create and administer curriculum that covers many bases necessary for English language instruction.
